Your Role as a Trainer Deliver safe, effective training that gets results and keeps clients coming back — and sell the packages that build your business. This role spans two focuses:
- Personal Training focus: 1:1 and small-group strength, conditioning, and general fitness programming.
- Hyrox focus: Hyrox-style functional training (running plus functional stations), group coaching, and competition prep.
Key Responsibilities Training & Programming - Run assessments and design personalized programs for 1:1, small-group, and (for the Hyrox focus) Hyrox-style sessions.
- Deliver safe, engaging, results-driven training.
Client Results & Retention - Keep clients motivated, progressing, and renewing through real results.
Sales & Lead Generation - Generate leads on and off the floor and sell personal-training packages.
- Support membership growth and, for the Hyrox focus, drive class attendance and event participation.
Community & Standards - Represent the club at local events and, for the Hyrox focus, build the Hyrox community and partnerships.
- Uphold the club's Friendliness and Cleanliness standards.
Qualifications and Skills Experience - Nationally accredited certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent) and current CPR/AED.
- A sales mindset and a track record of client results and retention.
- For the Hyrox focus: Hyrox or functional-fitness experience as a competitor, coach, or event organizer strongly preferred.
Skills & Attributes - Motivating coach and confident closer; high energy; dependable with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Your Earning Potential You keep 40% of every personal-training sale. Example commissions at our Buckhead package pricing:
- Single session — $80: $32 to you.
- 8-session package — $560: $224 to you.
- 24-session package — $1,440: $576 to you.
- Hyrox group class — 10 athletes x $30: $120 to you for a single class.
A trainer running about 25 sessions a week earns roughly $2,600+ per month in session commission — before Hyrox classes and package upsells. Top trainers with a full book earn well beyond that.
Compensation and Benefits - Commission: 40% of your personal-training sales — commission-only, uncapped. The harder you build your book, the more you earn.
- Floor Time (optional): limited, GM-scheduled hourly pay for floor coverage when you're not training clients, closely managed to protect your training time and the club's labor budget.
